Covid Solidarity Fund Extended In December : All Companies Eligible in Affected Sectors Regardless of Size

From December, the solidarity fund for companies strongly impacted by the Covid crisis will be available for all companies in the sectors concerned, whatever their size. However, a maximum amount of 200,000 Euros of subsidy is planned at group level.

Who is this December aid extension for?

  • For all companies subject to the ban on receiving the public

For the month of December, companies banned from receiving the public will be able to access the solidarity fund, regardless of their size. They will benefit from a right of option between aid of up to €10,000 or compensation of 20% of 2019 turnover up to a maximum of €200,000 per month. The reference turnover used to calculate the aid may be the turnover of December 2019 or the average monthly turnover recorded in 2019.

The maximum aid ceiling of €200,000 is agreed at group level.

  • For companies in the tourism, events, culture, sports and related sectors (S1 and S1bis) that remain open but that are durably affected by the crisis (hotels, restaurants, etc.)

For the month of December, companies in the tourism, events, culture and sports sectors (S1) [PDF – 127 KB] will have access to the solidarity fund with no size criteria if they lose at least 50% of their turnover. They will be able to benefit from aid of up to €10,000 or compensation of 15% of their 2019 turnover. For companies that lose more than 70% of their turnover, compensation will reach 20% of turnover up to a maximum of €200,000 per month.

The maximum aid ceiling of €200,000 is agreed at group level.

To date,  it is not yet possible to make the request for this aid on the tax authorities website , as they have not yet communicated and commented on the December grant extension.

As soon as the tax administration’s comments and instructions are available, we will get back to you on the practical modalities of obtaining the solidarity fund aid for the month of December.
